Great power for a 12 volter. This tool takes a beating and comes back for more. Very comfortable for all day use. I have been using two of these drills for a few years now and they are awesome. I don't know what these people are looking for out of a 12 volt cordless drill but they must be smoking something if they're not happy with this.
No problem. They provide plenty of power - just not long enough.
ones do a lot more work between charging.(2)The belt hook is a joke, but I never use it anyway.(3)The carrying case for this thing is a monster - big enough for three drills.Good torque and the one-hand tightening chuck is very convenient. The replacement 2.4a.h.
I bought this over two years ago & wanted to wait to review it. My only complaints are (1)the low capacity batteries that come with the drill.
My outer bearings are getting a bit loose now, but given the amount of sand, mud, and plaster dust this thing has eaten in two years, I consider that OK. I have beaten this thing up mercilessly, including exposing it to salt water - never a total dunk, but lots of spray and splashes.
I have also dropped it on concrete, in the sand, used it as a mallet, and done all kinds of other bad things to it.
Plenty of power, well-balanced and not too heavy. An ideal tool for someone needing a cordless drill-driver but who isn't a house-building carpenter/contractor.
maybe a 12V drill should be called a screw gun not a drill can not screw or drill much load. Dont send a boy to do a mans job.Dissapointed in Milwakee's product for the first time. problems with chuck bearings.
For me, a good 12 volt drill is perfect for most woodworking projects, the weight and extra bulk of anything greater is just not worth the fatique. Then again, it may just be me and not the tool. Maybe I just don't have the ego for a hefty 18 or 24 volter. And a big mahalo to Larry at the Amazon/Tool-Crib for assisting with my purchase. The plastic housing is the best I have seen among cordless drills. If you need a good all around cordless, this drill is highly recommended. Milwaukee has done a great job incorporating "Heavy Duty" toughness without the weight of an 18 volt bruiser. The rubberized trigger and soft grip handle just adds to the balanced comfort.
Luckily, there is a two speed feature to tame this beast. All in all, this is another excellent product from Milwaukee. The only complaint I have on this drill is the trigger. No where on the islands was this beauty available. The fleshy part of my trigger finger got caught between the tacky rubber switch and the housing.Ouch. This drill also included a cool Clip-Lok system eliminating the need for a holster or one of those awkward lug hooks. The power is more than adequate for most jobs. Although, I love the rubberized feel, my finger got pinched quite a few times when I pulled the trigger. This drill is not only light but compact, nearly the size of my older Panasonic.
To me, the whole point of using cordless tools is to get away from the excess weight. The drill does pack a pretty hefty kick with all the torque generated at 1400rpm. Looks like it's built to last. I was able to drill quite a few holes with my hole-saw during door installations.
